Circa 1880, large Victorian oak desk chair. The top rail has a scooped out section on the back for lifting the chair. There is a padded section on the front and back, and from this come two large heavy set arms which are crook shaped. The seat is solid oak and beneath this are two large turned legs at the front, and square, tapering and outswept back legs. There are stretchers underneath which are curved and bulbous. Great colour and condition, sturdy and functional.
