Large plaster bust of a Renaissance lady c.1950. Shoulder length bust of a lady in striking costume, her hair worn in two plaited bunches below a vale which also hides her neck. At her breast is a large gold brooch featuring an image of St Christopher carrying Christ. Modelled in plaster after a wooden original (note the worm holes) and painted to look like aged timber with traces of gold. Presented on an associated square pink marble plinth (8½" tall).
Dimensions: Bust – width 22″, height 18″, depth 9″.
Total height including plinth 26½".
