Large 20th.c. Persian carpet. Over seven feet wide and eleven feet long, hand knotted with a pattern of small cone shape ‘buta’ motifs against a rich red ground with a broad border. With wear to the edges and a small patch of missing pile toward one end, generally good condition with strong even colour.
