Quality large oil painting by Chris Golds 1984, titled 'Thumbing a Lift'.
The painting was commissioned to celebrate and tell the story of Squardron Leader / Group Captain Tom Dalton-Morgan DFC (British Hurricane fighter ace) when he had to ditch in the sea after shooting down a Junker JU88. (see the full story on a card in one of the pictures).
This is a lovely painting with a great atmosphere and use of light.
Very decorative, bound to get noticed and be a real talking point.
The painting is very well executed and would look great in the right location!
Very good condition with only minor specs or marks, free from any major defects.
Overall maximum dimensions 101cmW x 70cmH including frame, painting 90cmW x 60cmH.
