Fabulous late 19th.c. gilded girandole wall mirror c.1870. Designed to reflect and amplify candle light. With the original 23″ x 29″ oval mirror plate over a three branch candle sconce. Moulded laurel leaf frame surrounded with an elaborate gesso work garland of beautifully realised leaves and flowers and topped with a ribbon bow. Some minor damage and retouching to the gesso, generally excellent condition with the original gilt finish.
Dimensions: width 33″” depth 11″, height 48″.
