Good size French late 19th century oval gilt mirror with its original bevelled mirror plate.
Good decorative frame and ribbons to the top.
Some very minor knocks over its lifetime, but nothing of any concern.
The gilding is clean and a good mellow tone and the original mercury bevelled mirror plate has some very light foxing to it but certainly doesn't cause any issue to the reflection at all. You can see what I mean from some of the detail photos, the very faint diagonal haze.
In all, a very good quality oval gilt mirror that has been allowed to age gracefully and it is of a really good size, so would hang well an an overmantle mirror as well as free hang above a console or chest of drawers perhaps.

44” or 112cm high
34” or 86.5cm wide
