Fabulous quality French late c19th gilt mirror with a beautifully carved frame and its original bevelled mercury mirror plate in good condition.
Great detail to the top of the mirror with the classical urn and scrolls, a gallery top and acorn finials. Flanked by fluted columns and a full plinth base which is often a plain rail for a typical overmantle mirror, which suggests this mirror is intended as a console table mirror for example.
Good original gilding and it has aged gracefully, giving a lovely warm tone. All cleaned and buffed, ready to hang.
Top right corner of the glass you can see some very small foxing spots.

63 1/2” or 163cm high
33 1/2” or 85cm wide Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
