Superb quality large Edwardian mahogany toilet mirror with a fabulous concave shape to the base drawer section.
Beautifully made and in nice condition. Some hints of gothic revival to the blind fret style carving and those swept feet.
The concave base section has three hidden frieze drawers which matching veneers and good dovetailed joints.
The proportions of this piece make it far more interesting a piece than the usual size examples and something perhaps that could hold its own along other decorative pieces not just in the bedroom as a dressing mirror. it could work as a console mirror or on a sideboard for example.
Measuring:
30” or 76cm high
40” or 102cm wide
12 1/2” or 32cm deep Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
