Large Antique Burl Walnut & Parquetry Jewellery Box Antique English Walnut %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A top-notch example of an English Victorian antique jewellery box made from the most wonderful piece of burr Walnut, one of my very favourite timbers with it's decorative grain and rich Cognac colour.

The wonderful and meticulous Tunbridge parquetry inlaid is of the finest quality. The lid retains the original bevelled glass.

The box comes complete with a working key, once opened the fully fitted interior is revealed, having been professionally re-lined to an exceptional standard.

Dating to around 1860, the box comes in superb condition, measuring 12" x 8 1/2" x 5 1/4" tall.
