Large leather and brass bound camphor wood chest.

A stylish trunk that wears its travelling history with pride. This is an item of luggage from circa 1830 that displays its previous working life, not perfect but retain a great worn look. Still in good working order ready to be used as extra storage or a coffee table of some style.

The leather is an extremely dark green, almost bordering on a black colour. Brass strengthening edge plates, corner brackets and domed nails to the top, ends and sides. Either end are sturdy brass carrying handles and to the lid a ring handle.

To the underside of the lid survives an inventory in copperplate writing, it lists a quantity of blankets, sheets and even a quilt.
