Mid 19th century walnut writing box, of large proportions with shaped hinged lid, complete with fitted interior. The box exterior is finished with a careful selected choice of walnut veneers and complimented by a bamboo oval moulding to the base, giving a distinctive decorative look. A nice antique box with lovely mellow walnut patina, which enhances a most functional item.
