Large 18thC Welsh Oak Armchair
A large and very charming 18thC Welsh oak country armchair of glorious form and proportions.
Very strong and sturdy with superbly figured oak throughout, displaying wonderful colour and patina. Of generous proportions and of good height it is very comfortable and pleasant to sit at. Original throughout and in exceptional condition with small historic repairs to arm ears and top rail with no losses.
Featuring well turned pillars, traditional ear shaped arms and bold top rail it is a superb looking chair.
Provenance Aberaeron Georgian town house Ceredigion.

Welsh Vernacular is an independent family business run by husband and wife Jonathon and Yvonne Holder. We are the largest and one of the longest established Welsh Antiques businesses in the UK, holding an extensive collection of Country Furniture, Welsh Antiques, Pottery, Treen and Folk Art.
