A superb 18th century oil on canvas still life of flowers placed in an urn depicting cupid, unsigned. The painting is of large proportions.

The paint has a craquelure effect, throughout however the paint is not loose. The effect is likely subsequent to the work being hung above or near a heat source. The effect has created a wonderful and unique patina throughout the work.

The work is housed in a later gilt frame, which has a similar effect to the painting throughout.

A truly stunning and well executed work from the 18th century period.

Provenance: Private collection of a gentleman.
