Kitchen Rack. Hardwood Ladder
This is actually a very well made primitive African hardwood ladder. I really like it for it's aesthetic quality as something well crafted, simply made and very fit for purpose.
Despite the fact that there is probably a very limited market for primitive wooden ladders nowadays, there are thankfully other uses a beautiful object like this can be adapted for use. A kitchen pan rack for example - suspended from the ceiling horizontally.
Or a towel rail - hung vertically?
It is made using straight knotty branches with the bark removed.
The rungs are of tapered dowel construction and each joint is pegged (see photos)
