Kings South Africa medal with two clasps %%alt5%%
The King's South Africa medal was issued to troops who fought in the Boer war on or after 1st January 1902, and who had service of 18 months prior to the end of the war in May 1902.
So, the latest they could have started their service to qualify would have been December 1900 in the reign of Queen Victoria, and therefore they probably also qualified for the Queen's South Africa medal.

The two clasps indicate active service in those two particular years.

This medal was awarded to 9929 W. Anderson of the 1st Scots Guards.

The medal is full size and measures approximately 3.5 cm (1.5") in diameter.
The ribbon is a replacement.
