Charles 1st 17th century silver Royalist supporters badge. This is the smallest I have come across and I imagine it would have been sewn under a collar or, maybe suspended by a chain or leather. Due to its size I suspect worn during the commonwealth/Oliver Cromwell period to swear allegiance to the executed King.
Remarkable condition for its size and showing good detail especially the King.
Scarce piece from England's turbulent past.
