Kendal & Dent Silver Half Hunter Pocket Watch
Sterling silver gentleman's half hunter pocket watch by Kendal & Dent with original box and measuring 50mm in diameter.
Condition:
Dial - white enamel signed 'Kendal & Dent, London, Makers To The Admiralty' with black Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands and subsidiary seconds dial. In excellent condition having no hairlines, chips or discolouration. The glass is also in very good condition.
Case - sterling silver half hunter made by The Lancashire Watch Co. Ltd and fully hall marked for Chester, 1898. The sprung front cover opens when the crown is depressed and has a dark blue enamel Roman numeral chapter ring with central viewing porthole.The dust cover bears the following inscription: 'To dear Dad on the occasion of his Jubilee & Silver Wedding, Sept 5th 1906, from Mother Kit & Win'. The back cover is plain. All covers open and close as they should and the hinges are in good condition. The case in general is in excellent condition with no dings or unsightly scratching.
Movement - gilt 3/4 plate signed 'Kendal & Dent, London - The Greenwich Lever and numbered 286112'. In good working order and keeping reasonable time to within +/- 3 minutes per day.
