Antique Solid Silver J.W. Benson Pocket Watch Beautiful white enamel dial set against black numbers and details. The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement and signed J W Benson, the original retailer of the watch, and it is all protected by an inner hinged cover.

This case is made of solid Sterling Silver and hallmarked in various places such as the top winding stem, inside of both the inner and outer case to show Birmingham with the date letter 'N' for the year 1937. There is also a maker’s mark 'A.L.D' to show the maker of the watch case to be Aaron Lufkin Dennison (later founding the renowned Dennison Watch Case Company)
This watch is in lovely condition both cosmetically and mechanically. The top winding movement is in good working order, winding up running smoothly.

There are some minor surface marks and age-related wearing which can be seen upon close inspection, but this is nothing more than what you would expect from a used pocket watch of this age which has been well looked after.

The pocket watch comes with its original box and a receipt for a previous service dated 25th October 1951
