We are offering for sale this very finely executed still life watercolour by a monogrammist artist, who has signed the painting J.R.A.P. in the edge of the table, as shown in the photos. The painting depicts a bunch of white clematis in a Doulton Lambeth Stoneware jog. The jug is standing on a carved oak table, which matches the carved oak panelling of the wall behind the table.

Unfortunately, we have been unable to trace the monogram of the artist and, therefore, cannot offer any biographical information about him or her. However the artist was obviously very talented, as the painting has been beautifully painted.

The watercolour has been newly double mounted in acid free mountboard and is framed in a 1 1/8" gilt frame.
