John Pedrone, Carlisle Barometer


An early Victorian period mercury wheel barometer. A mahogany case of good proportions with a swan neck top pediment and the original finial. Banding to the mahogany case edging. A well engraved main dial, hygrometer, thermometer and level signed ' John Pedroni, Carlisle'. Circa 1840.
The Pedrone family from Carlisle are recorded in Banfields 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working between 1830 and 1855
