John Marks for 'Way In' 1960's designer dress
1ate 1960's dress by John Marks for Way In (at Harrods). Way In was introduced by Harrods in 1967, to showcase the very latest designer fashion in order to sell to 'swinging London'.
The dress is wool and is fully lined in an acetate type fabric with a zip at the back. The signed with its metallic embellishments was obviously inspired by Parisian designer such as Pierre Cardin. It is a size 12, but is smaller than the modern size 12 we are familiar with now. Measurement under the bust around the bodice area is 74cm, and length is 88cm. There is a small hem of around 2 cm also.
Condition is good, but there is one tiny piece of moth damage (photographed. This is on the right hand side of the dress. We welcome visits to our 3000 sq ft warehouse in Norwich (postcode NR18 9PX), but please ask first as this is by appointment only. If travelling by train , we can meet you at Norwich Station or more locally, Wymondham Station.
Delivery to any address in the UK by ourselves or courier and will charge very reasonable rates.
Deliveries to the South-east are weekly.
