An elegant late Georgian, Regency period mercury wheel barometer. A larger 10" dial with a swan neck pediment and the original brass finial. Triple banded case edging and the original brass set knob. Well engraved silvered dials with a long mercury thermometer. Pale colour to the mahogany case with choice flame veneers. The level is engraved 'J VERGA CHESTER'. Circa 1825.

J Verga of Chester is recorded in Banfields' 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1815 - 1835.
