Description: This important 17th century Emilian painting is to be referred to the exquisite production of the Bolognese school.

The splendid workmanship and the refined colors, evidently of the highest level, suggest in fact the attribution to a very talented author working in Bologna in the second half of the seventeenth century.

This composition, which sees the Virgin in prayer, bent to adore the Sleeping Child and St. John behind her, is in fact another sign of the great Bolognese pictorial culture of the late seventeenth century.

Conditions: Excellent condition.
