Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in October 1938, Louizor displayed his prodigious talent from a young age. At just 13, he joined the esteemed Centre d'Art and refined his skills under the guidance of Wilmino Domond. Continuing his artistic education at the Academie des Beaux-Arts, Louizor studied with the renowned artist George Ramponeau.
Regarded as the Caribbean's leading impressionist painter, Louizor's compositions breathe life onto the canvas. His distinct style and masterful use of vibrant colours and textures bring a unique vibrancy and emotion to his artwork. Often depicting bustling marketplaces and picturesque seascapes, Louizor showcases the beauty and richness of his Caribbean heritage.
