A very fine deep seated Howard style walnut open armchair upholstered in William Morris style fabric, c.1880. The rear legs are stamped '20481' and '353'.

The chair has a deep, swept back, fluted arm supports and legs with the whole being raised upon brass and ceramic castors. The chair is extremely well made and exceptionally comfortable.

A statement piece for any room.
