High quality early to mid Victorian silver plated on copper salver on a very pleasing design. 12" diameter with gadrooned edge and nice shape decorated feet. The tray is beautifully engraved all over the inside with a floral and vine pattern. There is a central unicorn monogram with "VIRTUTIS PRAEMIUM" in curved lettering above which suggests this is of Scottish origin. There is slight copper showing through in places but nothing serious and is in otherwise extremely good condition. Good heavy weight to it.
