Antique Beech Windsor Chair - Fabulous Styling - c1880
This charming elbow chair is a super shape and is presented in excellent condition.
Crafted from beech and dating from the late Victorian period this chair offers comfort and style.
A shield shaped seat is upholstered with a quality textile. A gorgeous back splat with matched padded centre rises to meet the attractive top rail. This is is flanked by pleasingly turned risers and supported by the arms of the chair to produce a strong piece.
Wide supporting arm rests combine with a good seat height of 47cm or 18.5" - (see images for full dimensions) to make this an excellent choice as a regular daily use chair for reading, fireside, study or kitchen.
The chair rides upon turned legs all round and these are united by an H-stretcher for extra robustness and durability.
The beech is a pleasing and consistent colour showing good levels of grain.
