High Back Occasional Hall Chair
Decorative high back occasional hall or fireside armchair in walnut and newly upholstered, circa 1900 and in good condition.
Well craved frame and with a crinoline style stretcher to the underside frame.
The chair does have quite an upright back, hence I have described it as an occasional chair, rather than a chair you would sit in all evening if that makes sense…
Good solid frame and newly upholstered in this faded stripe and edged with a scrolled braid.
Measuring:
52 3/4 inches or 134 cm high
27 inches or 68.5 cm wide
24 inches or 61 cm deep
17 1/2 inches 44.5 cm seat height
28 inches or 71 cm arm height. Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
