High Back Windsor Chair - Elm & Ash - c1890
This Elm seated Windsor chair is a pleasing classic shape and is presented in superb condition.
The chair has good seat height (43cm or 17") combined with strength in the back and arms and therefore makes an excellent choice as a regular daily use chair (see images for full dimensions).
The broad top rail is supported by nicely turned outer risers which connect to the arms producing a robust piece.
The Elm seat plate and arm rests display the grain and beauty of the wood superbly.
The chair rides upon double turned legs which are united by a single 'H' stretcher for robustness and durability.
This chair will make a charming addition to any home and is a nice example of this classic design. The chair is very comfortable and solid throughout.
