A rare vintage letter opener to adorn the finest of desktops, made from polished steel and with a gold plated horse spur handle.

Just back from my silversmith's workshop where it has been professionally cleaned and polished and the handle re-gilded with gold, restoring it to it's former glory.

The blade has a lovely warm gun metal colour and is signed by the famous French fashion house, Hermes of Paris. Made exclusively by the French silversmith, Ravinet d'Enfert it is also marked "Made In France".

Dating to c.1960, it remains in superb condition measuring 8" x 1 7/8" x 3/4".
