The chair: A very rare example of an iconic oak writing / desk armchair designed by Ambrose Heal for Heal's c.1930. This chair has had an incredible life having originally been shipped to Northern Rhodesia c.1930 and later moving to South Africa via Southern Rhodesia, where its rush seat was replaced with a traditional "riempie" (strung) seat, before returning to the UK in the early 2000's.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition. No evidence of any significant damage or repair.

Dimensions: Width 25" (maximum at the arms), seat height 17", back height 32" & depth 18.5" (seat) Viewings at our Norfolk Warehouse & Showroom by appointment.
