Haslingden 9ct Bailey Cup Winners Medal 1922 - 23
We have for sale a 9ct gold Haslingden & District Amateur Football League medal dating to 1922.
This attractive shield shaped medal has a central enameled coat of arms surrounded by a gold on blue enamel inscription HASLINGDEN & DIST Amateur F'BALL LEAGUE. The reverse of the medal carries the inscription 1922 - 1923 BAILEY CUP WINNER, along with the makers mark V&S (Vaughton & Sons) along with full hallmarks for Birmingham 1922. The medal is suspended from a hallmarked 9ct gold ring. The medal is presented in a red Fattorini presentation box.
The medal including the suspending ring is approximately 1 & 1/2 inches (3.8cm) high and weighs 9.67 grams according to our digital scales. The medal is in a very good condition.
