Hans Tyrrestrup's work is highly collectable, with his oils in particular, achieving prices well above £1000 at auction.

Biography:
Hans Tyrrestrup (born August 23, 1944 in Esbjerg) is a Danish Painter, graphic artist and poet. He holds a Masters Degree from Aarhus University. In 1972 he became a teacher at Varde Gymnasium. He had his first exhibition at Aarhus University back in 1966. Exhibitions of his works have been held at Hjorring, Varde, Esbjerg, Koge and Faaborg and he has provided work for the Danish High Court. Moreover, Hans Tyrrestrup has had exhibitions in the UK, Germany and France in 1990-91 and has received scholarships for the Scandinavian Society in Rome in 1986, from the Queen Ingrid Roman Foundation in 1988-89, for studies at San Cataldo, Amalfi in 1990 and for the Nordic Art Centre, Sveaborg, Helsinki in 1991.
