Hand-Cut Engraved Glass Plate American
This large glass plate is of superb quality. We believe it to date from the first half of the twentieth century and to be of American origins. It has hand-cut scalloped edges and the initials MMT engraved in large letters in the centre. It is retained in what we believe to be its original box with a label for Thomas Stephens of New Jersey on, but whether he was the maker or the engraver of the piece we are not sure.
Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, scratching and wear to the base of the plate. The box is badly damaged, and is squashed with splitting and loss around the seams.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
40cm diameter (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
