Guido Gnocchi B.1917 Italy Oil Forest Nr. Malpensa

The early sunlight is filtering through the trees and illuminating some of the trunks. The artist has used a raised paint technique for the trees, giving the painting a textural quality all its own and is a technique that he used is the mahjority of his paintings, which feature a similar subject matter. The canvas bears a label to the centre back, giving the name of the artist and the title of the painting as 'Forest near Malpensa'.
