A lovely French gothic revival gilded brass casket with leather panels complete with key. The design depicts stylized roses and scrolls.
Possibly not the original lining but the cotton velvet lining has age to it. It is in very good condition for its age. A couple of rivets are missing but this is minor and only noticeable on close inspection. A pretty piece piece that would make a lovely antique jewellery or cufflink box.
