Very impressive late 19th.c. Gothic revival carved oak throne box seat hall chair c.1880. Standing very nearly six feet tall. The backrest beautifully carved with fine Gothic blind tracery, a double arch and heraldic device and flanked with carved architectural pilasters. Over straight arms and a board seat which lifts to reveal useful storage below. Base panels carved with further crests, both topped with a coronet. Turned columns below the arms and lovely linenfold carved side panels. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
