Good Victorian Gilt Frame No 9
This is a good deep Victorian gilt frame in nice original condition dating from around 1870. The frame has Laurel leaf cabled detail and a good deep profile. This has an inner gilt slip fitted. The frame measures 64 cms by 49 cms overall.
The aperture is 42 cms by 27 cms with the opening at the back to receive the painting measuring 44 cms by 28.5.
It would be possible to remove the slip which would make the aperture 47 cms by 32 cms and the opening for your painting 48.5 cms by 33.5 cms at the back.
