Good pair of Welsh Georgian oak hall chairs
These are a very charming pair of Welsh cottage side or hall chairs. They date to around 1800 - 1820 and are made in solid oak.
The chairs, with their square back and reeded slat design is very typical to the old county of Denbighshire.
These are particularly good and original chairs. They both are in good condition, (slither of wood off front of one seat - see photo). The joints are solid and the old oak polishes up very well.
I love good old country design like this. The chairs will look equally good in a hall or kitchen or even as side chairs in a principal room.
The chair backs are 35 inches high and the seats are 19 inches wide and 19 inches high and the armchair is 23 inches wide from outside arm to outside arm.
