This is a good example of an antique Caucasian carpet dating from around 1900. The carpet has a pleasing honey combe lattice design with deep crenelated borders and features a subtle colour palette of soft reds and blues with ivory highlights. This is in excellent condition with a low and even pile.

Measuring 193 cms by 157 cms the carpet almost square these carpets would have been used in traditional rural houses where they would be placed over a low table which was heated from beneath. A very nice example in great condition.
