A rather impressive Gilt picture frame. The plaster work is good but there is a loss of Gilt in places. Very much restorable if you wanted to but in keeping with the are anyway. We suggest this is Georgian but have a similar frame on a picture we have just sold from 1680. One of a few in stock at the moment, rare of course to find frames like this of course. One other on our web site, a picture is attached to this information but there is a page on our web site giving full details of that one too.
This one is 25ins by 29ins external diameter and the internal rebate is 20.75 by 17.5 ins. This can be adjusted by the use of an internal frame or a mount of course. If you have a picture it could be superb or indeed a mirror can be used. That would only cost about £15 for the glass we suggest.
