Georgian Silver Gilt Vinaigrette John Bettridge
A fabulous George IV silver gilt vinaigrette by John Bettridge with very fine ornate cast decoration to both sides with stylised foliate edges and scrolling flowering vines with a large flower in the centre on one side and a rectangular cartouche on the other with monogram. Engine engraved detail to the walls. The hinged grille is finely pierced and engraved with a further flowering vine design. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1827, maker John Bettridge. It has a suspension loop to one end.
It measures 4.2cm (1 1/8") by 3cm (1 1/8") wide and 0.9cm (3/8") deep and weighs 35g / 1.1ozt.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and very minor handling wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
