We are pleased to offer this very well executed Portrait Oil of a young, handsome gentleman which comes from the Georgian period and is by an unknown artist.

The subject is in his thirties and is very well dressed, wearing a brown high-collared jacket, over a black waistcoat. Under the waistcoat, he has a white pin-tucked shirt with a high collar and a black stock tied neatly with a bow at the front. His brown hair appears to be short and neatly dressed, in the early nineteenth century style.

The painting has been newly framed in an ornate 3 5/8" soft gilt frame. It will be supplied with new brass hangers, new brass picture wire and will be ready to hang.

Frame size: 35" x 30 1/8" - 88.9cm x 76.55cm

Medium: Oils on relined canvas

Condition: Very good. The canvas has been relined and the painting is now in very good condition. The canvas is clean and taut and there is no craquelure, paint loss or stretcher marks. The frame is new.
