Georgian Oak Floor standing Corner Cupboard.
This is a fine full height floor standing corner cupboard. It is Georgian, oak and is made in two pieces. It would date to the last quarter of the 18th Century.
The upper glazed cabinet is ideal for display. It has 2 doors with rectangular glazed windows, most of which are the original glass. Inside it has nicely shaped shelves with retaining bars for standing plates around each of the edges, and good capacity for glasses and dining wares.
Old blue paint with a waxed finish and internal lights have been fitted which offer a gentle glow onto the display shelves.
The lower cupboard has an additional 2 shelves for storage.
Upper and lower doors have working locks which are old replacements.
It has a deep brown and mellow Georgian oak colour and is in very good condition throughout. The escutcheons are old period replacements.
