Georgian Mahogany Oak Sideboard Cupboard
This is a very good period sideboard or cupboard. Unusually it is made in mahogany and oak. It dates to around 1820 and is in wonderful condition. I love Georgian antique furniture. The designs are so simple. There is real elegance in their simplicity. The cupboard is not deep so will not stick out in to your room too far and overpower your space.
The cupboard has a mahogany top. Beneath is a flame mahogany frieze and the best dentil inlay you will ever see. It is beautiful. The cupboard has two doors. The doors made in oak with mahogany reeded detailing and rondels to each corner. The escutcheons are inset with bone (one repaired) and it it stands on a plinth base.
The cupboard has a shelved interior.
This cupboard could be used as a sideboard in a dining room or as a side cabinet in a principal room. It is in good condition and will look very elegant wherever you put it. It has good storage.
The cupboard is 46.4 inches wide and 40.5 inches high and 15 inches deep.
