Georgian Mahogany Elbow Chair

A handsome, fine quality, and generously proportioned George III period mahogany carver or elbow chair in the Chippendale manner, of good weight of timber, having a shaped cresting rail and carved fan splat, scroll arms, a tapestry covered drop-in seat, and raised on square section legs united by an H-stretcher. Ideal for use with a desk.
Width 28″ (71cm) Depth 22″ (56cm) Height (overall) 36″ (91cm) Height (seat) 17” (43cm)
Condition and Details of Restoration
This chair is in original and completely sound structural condition. The polish has been revived, both by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some old scuffs and marks to the legs as might be expected on an example of this age, but nothing major. The tapestry cover to the seat is most likely a 20th Century addition, but is in good clean condition.
