Technical Description
An 18th century facet cut wine glass. The round funnel bowl rests upon a short plain stem section above a hexagonal facet cut stem featuring a shoulder knop. The glass is supported by a conical foot with a rough pontil. This is an excellent example and could be classified as a composite stem.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the Bank of North America, the first American commercial bank opened.
