Georgian Beech & Elm Windsor Armchair
This attractive antique windsor armchair dates from approx. 1810. We believe it to be constructed from beech and elm. The chair has a nice shaped seat with turned arm supports and legs. It has a spindle back. It has a lower H-stretcher.
Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. The chair is usuable, but there is some movement in the joints. One of the arm supports has an old repair which is coming loose. There are some signs of restoration and repair, and some signs of old woodworm in places - this is not active but has been retreated as a precaution. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the chair is overall faded. It has a lovely worn patina.
The approx. measurements are as follows
Overall - 93.5cm high, 57.5cm wide, 49cm deep (to maximums) 42cm high to seat. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
