George III Mahogany Corner Cupboard c.1790.
Superb George III mahogany barrel back corner cupboard c.1790. A really impressive piece of Georgian antique furniture, standing 7½ feet tall, of the most wonderful colour mahogany timbers. Shaped and fielded panel doors with matching flame mahogany veneers on solid mahogany ground open to reveal a barrel back interior and dome top with shaped shelves and original paintwork. Moulded cornice and plinth and fabulous deep fluted returns at the sides, running into filled flutes as they descend. Unusually the semi-circular base of the top section folds open to make a round serving table. There is also a single pine drawer in the base. In fantastic condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied. Splits into two sections for delivery.
