Gents 9ct gold Smiths De Luxe wrist watch, 1962
A 1962 9 carat gold Smiths De Luxe wrist watch, made in England.
The watch has a 15 jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch itself measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs so it would suit a man with a slimmer wrist, or it would work nicely as a lady’s watch. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1962 with the case maker’s mark for Smiths Clocks & Watches . The back of the watch has a long service engraving from British Rail (Western region). The case is in good condition with just minor surface marks.
The lens is in good condition, just a minor mark at number 10 if you look closely.
The dial is signed Smiths De Luxe, 15 jewels, Shockproof, Made in England. and is in nice condition.
The watch has its original hands.
A new brown leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
